ENAQUA Specializes in NON-CONTACT UV Disinfection of Municipal and Industrial Wastewater. Our unique and proven technology (listed in the 1986 EPA Design Manual) for the treatment of secondary treated Wastewater.
ENAQUA is the only NON-CONTACT UV Disinfection system that has attained NWIR 2012 Validation, as well as California Dept of Health Title 22 (Re-Use) approval.
Company History
ENAQUA was established in 1985 (as IWT) and began manufacturing water treatment systems for Municipalities and Industry in San Diego County, CA. Producing both UV Disinfection Systems as well as RO/UF ENAQUA continued to grow the core business shifted to the Municipal market with installations across the country.
In 2004, the name was changed to ENAQUA (In Water), with the focus on Water Treatment by UV Disinfection and Reverse Osmosis. With the continued growth, the company relocated (still in San Diego County) to larger facilities as more space was needed for larger and larger systems.
in 2012, the owners of ENAQUA sold their shares to Grundfos Holding, a world leader in pump manufacturing and technology. As part of the Emerging Water Technology (EWT) Platform, ENAQUA provided a UV option to the disinfection products promoted by Grundfos, through 2021.
In December 2021 the Management of ENAQUA purchased the company from Grundfos and returned as a stand-alone company.
ENAQUA continues to design and manufacture the premier NON-CONTACT UV Disinfection Systems in the US and the World.
