ABOUT PURE CYCLE/RANGEVIEW METROPOLITAN DISTRICT

Pure Cycle Corporation is the service provider for Rangeview Metropolitan District.  Pure Cycle and Rangeview have a large service area incorporating some 25,000 acres for which they provide water and wastewater services.  This area is adjacent to the City of Aurora in Arapahoe County.  Currently we operate water and wastewater systems that provide service to approximately 1,000 connections through one water and two wastewater facilities. Pure Cycle also designs, operates, and maintains a variety of potable and raw water facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs skilled mechanical work in the installation, modification, maintenance, fabrication and repair of water treatment equipment and structures. Takes on an advanced role of working and troubleshooting mechanical equipment at Pure Cycle. Assists in the development of preventive maintenance and training activities.

·         Installs, modifies, maintains, and repairs mechanical equipment such as gear boxes, pumps, fans, compressors, engines, chemical systems, material handling equipment, HVAC systems, compressed air supply systems, boilers, and other wastewater treatment equipment.

• Performs precision machine alignments on equipment including electric motors for corrective and preventative maintenance.
• Assists with implementing changes to mechanical systems, including but not limited to pumps, mechanical drives, welding, and machining. 
• Assists in planning work and ordering materials to facilitate scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Cleans wastewater plant equipment such as wet wells, basins, tanks, trenches, screens, compactors, and vaults in preparation for preventative maintenance and regular operations. Involves the use of hydraulic and weir pumps, hoses, ladders, fall protection, and other equipment as needed.
• Set up scaffolding and walkways for maintenance projects. 
• Performs regular cleaning and maintenance on wastewater treatment structures, collection facilities and equipment including process buildings. 
• Performs semi-skilled, unlicensed trades work on a regular basis in multiple trades areas including carpentry, locksmithing, glazing, masonry, minor mechanical maintenance, minor plumbing, air filter changes, and painting. 

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Applicants need to have the following experience:

·         High school diploma or GED

·         Vocational, technical, military training and/or college coursework is desired but not required.

·         A current, valid Colorado driver’s license.

The successful candidate shall have the following skills and knowledge base:

·         Operation of light equipment and mechanical maintenance

·         Industrial cleaning techniques and processes

·         Confined space processes and procedures

·         Operation of CCTV equipment

·         Hazardous chemical and industrial spill response procedures

·         Utilizing technology to seek and share resources and information

·         Work safely in a group with supervision

·         Read and follow procedures, manuals, Safety Data Sheet precautions, parts breakdowns and work order directions

·         Perform heavy lifting and strenuous pushing and pulling on a regular basis

·         Identify problems, craft effective solutions, act decisively and demonstrate good judgement

·         Familiarity with Lockout Tagout procedure
