This is advanced maintenance, supervisory and administrative focused work that involves maintenance activities for assets, grounds, and facilities for the Environmental Services Department
The Utilities Operations Superintendent will also be responsible for maintenance coordination with various workgroups to ensure safety, environmental compliance and effective utility management, as needed. Additional responsibilities include creation and management of term contracts, equipment/material procurement, maintenance schedules, standard operating procedures, and training materials. Direct supervision of a diverse and inclusive workforce, focused on a culture of collaborative learning and teamwork to ensure the City's core values are met and exceeded. Many technology platforms will be used for asset management and electronic work documentation. It is the responsibility of the Utilities Operations Superintendent to track those programs through the use of multiple CMMS applications, LIMS, SCADA, Modeling applications, GIS, HVAC Control Modules, and New Equipment Software Applications
Graduation from high school and five years of progressively responsible experience in the operation of medium and heavy equipment.
At least two years of supervisory experience in water distribution system maintenance or wastewater plant and collection system maintenance.
D wastewater license from the state of Michigan is preferred.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license.
