The Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Catholic University of America invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, to begin in Fall of 2020. Biomedical Engineering at CUA is an ABET accredited undergraduate program, which also awards masters and doctoral degrees in biomedical engineering. The department has strong research ties with the neighboring MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, Children’s National Health System, National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, NIST and other nearby institutions. The position requires a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field, commitment to teaching and potential for conducting innovative research in biomedical engineering. Qualified individuals in all fields related to biomedical engineering are encouraged to apply. However, we are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to our Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center, and have expertise in robotics, biomechanics, movement disorders and/or neuro-motor control.
