The Bureau of Environmental Services is looking for an individual to support the Science Integration Division (SID) within Watershed Services. This position provides support for the SID team by performing a variety of duties including assisting with environmental data collection, data entry, and data management to support the Watershed Restoration Project Effectiveness Monitoring Program. This position requires a well-organized individual with knowledge and experience using established protocol to collect instream, riparian, and wetland data. This is a temporary seasonal position that is not eligible for benefits.
Limited term with a maximum of 1400 hours per year (25 to 40 hours per week).
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: June 2020 with a potential option for a one-year renewal
This position is not benefit eligible.
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Knowledge of environmental processes.
Experience with Microsoft Excel to complete data management and analysis.
Experience conducting environmental monitoring, data entry, and data assessment.
Experience in conducting data quality assurance and quality control.
Ability to carry a minimum of 40 pounds over rough terrain during inclement weather.
