The City of Tracy is seeking an individual who has demonstrated skill to perform and/or direct preliminary engineering and design work including preparation of improvement plans, specifications and cost estimates for various Utilities operations capital projects; provide technical assistance to other engineers, departments, and clients or customers; reviews improvements plans, maps and estimates; effectively works with other departments to resolve issues and/or complaints; effectively respond to external customers or the general public on inquiries, complaints, and concerns both orally and in writing; makes sound decisions regarding complex issues; possesses excellent customer service attitude; can be resourceful, independent, and work with little supervision.
Four years of increasingly responsible professional municipal civil engineering experience with at least two years at the level of Assistant Engineer or higher.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree, or demonstrated equivalent, from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California drivers’ license.
Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a professional civil engineer in the State of California is highly desirable. Associate Civil Engineers who possess a Professional Engineers (PE) Certification receive an Incentive of 5% of their base salary
Additional Salary Information: 5% incentive of base salary for those Associate Civil Engineers who possess at Professional Engineers (PE) certification from State of California
