Assists in managing or directing a major organizational division of a City department; assists in carrying out the objectives and goals of the department through subordinate managers and supervisors; and performs other related duties as required.
This position assists the Program Administrator of the Field Operations Division and assists in the executive direction of the division. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the division's five base yards in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines and appurtenances of the department's water distribution system; 24-hour emergency response and trouble call program; and the maintenance of the department's facilities and grounds.
There is one (1) vacancy with the Field Operations Division, Honolulu Board of Water Supply. This list may be used for future vacancies in this and other departments.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Three (3) years of registered professional civil engineering experience, which shall have involved responsible program experience in the design, construction, installation or maintenance of waterworks facilities and systems or of similar facilities and systems in other utility organizations.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE: For this position, the qualifying experience required in a managerial/administrative position must conclusively demonstrate the scope and level of experience comparable to that of a branch chief level or higher.
License Requirement: Registration as a professional civil engineer. 1. Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional civil engineer.
2. Applicants with an out-of-state license in Civil Engineering must obtain the Hawaii license prior to appointment.
