Louis Berger has an exciting opening for a Project Engineer (Electrical Engineer w/ PE) to join its Federal PM/CM team at it Washington, DC office. The Project Engineer (Electrical Engineer w/ PE) will a vital contributor for the team and will have the opportunity to support key full time projects through the following responsibilities:
Provide technical criteria development, design assistance, technical requirements coordination, design reviews and identification of planning & design deficiencies.
Coordinate technical criteria and perform design reviews of project package.
Provide technical review of Basic Criteria Packages (BCP) and technical requirements specifications, engineering designs and construction for new facilities. Identify discrepancies and/or inadequacies relative to US standards and requirements.
Quality assurance reviews of technical work performed by other supporting agencies such as Navy engineering personnel.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Must possess an Electrical Engineering degree AND a current PE license.
Minimum of 10 years Project Engineering/ Management/Construction experience Detailed knowledge of and highly experienced in development and review of technical requirements, concepts, principles, standards, and methods to ensure the electrical engineering portion of building construction and land development projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the required operational and functional criteria.
Knowledge of government facility design, planning, project management.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as well as customer service skills due to daily interaction with various levels of rank, authority, positions (military and civilian).
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Knowledge of autcad
