Aguirre & Fields, LP is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Engineering Project Manager in the Sugar Land area. Aguirre & Fields has offices in Sugar Land, Austin, Fort Worth and Oklahoma specializing in civil, structural and construction engineering & inspection services for transportation and land development projects, including highways, bridges, water and wastewater structures, and individual infrastructure sites. Provides project management expertise by working with assigned engineers to oversee all aspects of the project services per the client’s contract.
Manages structural related projects to plan, synchronize and assign work based on individual project timelines and priorities.
Provides technical advice and or assistance as needed to project staff or across offices as needed.
Serve as Project Manager or Bridge Task lead on pursuits when necessary and attend interviews if needed.
Provide structural design support when needed to help the team and balance workload.
Conduct detailed QA/QC of structural plans and calculations.
Assists with client relationship management and business development in office location as identified in the business development plan priorities or as directed.
Supports and maintain the morale, welfare, professional development, training and work-life balance of all assigned staff utilizing the Company’s Character Qualities.
Complies with all Company policies, procedures, practices, rules.
Serves as an example of proper conduct per Company Character Qualities.

Assumes other duties as directed by Office Discipline Lead.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
Skilled in the use of Microstation, Geopak (transitioning to OpenRoads)
Proficient in the use of one or more finite element analysis programs such as LUSAS, MIDAS, STAAD, etc.
Experienced in using TxDOT Bridge programs such as PGSuper, BGS, PRSTRS14, CAP18
Knowledgeable using other bridge related software such as LEAP Concrete, LEAP Steel, MDX, etc.
Passion for management and design of transportation structures.
Supervises the assigned engineers to the project and responsible for overseeing their performance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
10+ years of structural engineering experience for civil/transportation projects with an emphasis on bridge
2+ years of managing structural engineering projects
TxDOT pre-certified for the following work categories:
3.4.1 Minor Bridge Layouts
3.5.1 Major Bridge Layouts
5.1.1 Minor Bridge Design
5.2.1 Major Bridge Design
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
