Lynchburg Water Resources is looking for a dynamic Stormwater Engineer to join it's Engineering Division. As a public utility that manages all water, wastewater and stormwater for the City of Lynchburg, Water Resources offers a unique opportunity for it's stormwater engineer to develop a comprehensive asset management strategy that incorporates innovative approaches to stormwater management. From collaboration and implementation of long-term water quality plans in order to meet TMDL requirements to utilizing stream restoration techniques to improve water quality and protect other utility assets like sewer lines, the stormwater engineer is an integral part of overseeing the stormwater infrastructure and of protecting and managing Lynchburg's watersheds. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university with major work in civil, structural, environmental, facilities or mechanical engineering and considerable experience in engineering design work and construction. PE preferred.
