This is highly responsible technical and professional sanitary engineering work coordinating industrial wastewater pretreatment monitoring including implementing programs related to water resource recovery operations and wastewater collection flow monitoring.
The individual in this position will be responsible for supervising and directing the work of the Sanitary Engineering Section of the Wastewater Division of the Public Works and Utilities Department; assisting in the development and review of regulatory reporting and studies involving current and future water quality standards; and supervising and monitoring the annual operation and maintenance budgets for the section.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with major coursework in civil or sanitary engineering plus at least 4 years experience in water and wastewater treatment systems; or equivalent.
Necessary Special Requirement: Registration as a Professional Engineer by the State of Nebraska.
