Description

K_La Systems is a leading, global supplier of mixing and aeration systems and is seeking a self-driven, full-time Project Engineer.  The Engineering position will primarily involve supporting all post contract activities from Engineering Submittal preparation to system start-up. The position will also entail completing various office tasks pertaining to the design, fabrication and shipment of our products. Some travel to clients, their engineers and project sites may be required.  KLa Systems offers health and dental insurance, competitive wages, paid vacation and a 401 K plan.  

Engineering:

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment preferred
• Experience reading engineering plans and specifications.
• High level of software proficiency including MS Excel, Word, etc.
• Must possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Create and/or review engineering drawings and sub-vendor documentation for use in fulfilling customer Purchase Orders.
• Integrate these drawings and other documentation into producing Engineering Submittals and Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• Review completed project submittal and IOM packages for accuracy and consistency.
• Implement systems to streamline repetitive tasks and elevate and maintain a consistent, high-quality, highly productive workflow.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but will give consideration to Engineering Tech. degrees with applicable experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for interfacing with consulting engineers, contractors, and outside vendors.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics.
• An understanding of centrifugal pumps and air blower packages is preferred but not required. On-the-job training available.

Additional Tasks:

KLa Systems is committed to the development and testing of new products.  Candidates should be willing to assist with the setup and testing of new equipment, and to assist in analyzing and reporting of the results.  KLa maintains inventory of critical parts at our main office – assistance with organizing, controlling and packaging inventory components for shipment to our global manufacturing partners will be required.
