EPCOR Water has two positions available for Utility Worker IV (Lead Utility Worker). One is in our Paradise Valley district, located at 6215 N CattleTrack Road in Scottsdale, and the other vacancy is in our Chaparral district, located at 12021 N Panorama Drive in Fountain Hills, AZ.
These individuals perform skilled work in the maintenance of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Assist in arrangement of crews and equipment to complete maintenance tasks. Assist other utility workers with performing skilled maintenance work. Provide leadership and training to Utility Workers.
This person will serve as the team leader of 2 or 3 person crew, as well as work independently. Receives direction and tasking from Foreman or Supervisor in the performance of assigned duties. Fills in for Field Operations Foreman when required. Responsible for completing all documentation of work performed and accountability of materials and equipment used. Provides leadership through training and job performance to assist in the development of Utility Worker in Training and Utility Workers I/II/III.
Performs skilled work and directs crew in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems; including fire hydrants, main line valves, water service lines, water mains, water meters and fittings, installation of new water services, water system flushing, water quality sampling, flow testing, traffic control, and preventative maintenance activities e.g. valve exercising and fire hydrant inspections. Installation, maintenance, and repair of wastewater collection systems including sewer laterals, mains, taps, main cleaning, inspections, and clearing blockages, roach control, and raises/lowers/repairs of manholes. Provide assistance to Field Customer Service Representative, Line Locator and Meter Reader when needed to backfill due to absences. Performs other work as required.
