The South Tahoe Public Utility District is currently recruiting a committed and skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for our Electrical & Instrumentation department. Under general supervision the E/I Technician assists or performs installations, services, maintenance, repairs, and calibration of electrical wiring systems, control systems, instrumentation systems, electrical equipment, and related work.
Education, Experience & Certification Requirements: Graduation from High School or equivalent is required.
E/I I: Requires two years’ experience as an electrician. Requires electrical experience with motors, AC/DC single/multiple phase power and control systems.
E/I II: Require two years’ experience following an apprenticeship with the IBEW or equivalent with AAS degree in Electrical/Instrumentation; or four years of field experience as a journeyman electrician. Instrumentation experience is required. Requires CWEA Electrical/Instrumentation Technician Grade 2 certificate.
