Tacoma Water is the second largest water utility in Washington State, with a service area that spans 117 square miles and an abundant and reliable water supply. Reporting to the Director and CEO of Tacoma Public Utilities, the Water Superintendent manages the City of Tacoma's municipal water utility which provides reliable, cost competitive and environmentally responsible services to citizens and regional customers. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful, collegial, experienced and results-oriented leader.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or other water utility related field AND 10 years experience managing a major section of a similarly sized water utility, 10 years experience in executive management of a water utility serving greater than 50,000 services, or some combination of the above. A Washington State Water Distribution Manager IV Certification is also required. A professional engineer’s license is desirable.
