Required qualifications include a BS in Engineering – Chemical, Environmental or Civil. Some coursework in Business, Management and/or Marketing is helpful. A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in the municipal water or wastewater treatment industry with a company that supplies equipment, systems, and products. A minimum of 3 years experience in sales or marketing is also required. Field sales experience would be helpful.
Candidates should also have the specialized knowledge as follows:
• Strong knowledge in municipal water and wastewater treatment processes is a must with knowledge of separation processes preferred. • Knowledge in the areas of business planning, sales, and sales promotion. • Must be a strong leader with good organization, problem solving and diplomacy skills. • Should excel in both oral and written communication with all levels of customers, industry professionals, and the corporation.
Candidates must be able to travel both internationally and domestically (25%-55%), visit customer sites, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and perform reasonable office duties.
